The most eagerly awaited tool for an ecological and inspiring 2025!

Inspire Agenda

Hello Brilliant Being! If you've made it this far, it's because you already have an Inspira(-te) planner, and for that, thank you very much for your trust!

More than just a planner, I want it to be your favourite tool for 2025 for a more sustainable and lighter everyday life!

In it, you'll find an annual calendar, monthly view, writing sections for birthdays, important dates, goals, action plans, finances, yoga practices, and various mandalas. Below, I invite you to download the exercises whenever you need to and access the practices using the QR Codes.

  • Wheel of Life

1 - Start by defining and writing down your 2025 goals in the designated area, including action plans to achieve these goals and any necessary notes.
2 - Fill in your wheel of life in the planner. Color each area with different colors. You don't need to do everything on the same day; spread it out over 20 to 30 days. At the end, analyze and see which areas you want or feel need change and put them in the notes. In the following months, or whenever it makes sense to you, download the uncolored mandala via the QR Code or the link below and color it again. Analyze the changes that have already occurred, what you still want to change, and make a note! And repeat this process every month, or whenever you feel like it.

Mandala of Compassion and Enlightenment

The most beautiful mandala I've seen to date. I swear! I asked the inspiring Sara if she wanted to, or if it made sense for her, to join this project with her beautiful mandalas. She promptly said yes. I explained the themes I covered in the agenda and told her I'd like her to create a mandala that people could color and dedicate some time to. I didn't say anything else! Just freedom to create 😉

When Sara handed me this mandala, she also gave me a description of it and said: "this was the mandala I intuitively made for this project."

Wow, how beautiful I thought! I think I was even a little speechless, because I found it just incredible and that it really had everything to do with it. The colors, the petals, the butterfly, the stars, the representation of the universe... everything, absolutely everything aligned. Thank you, Sara, you're incredible and I loved it! And I'm sure you'll also love coloring it according to your mood. Below you can download the PDF and color whenever you want. And if you like, you can even send me the final result, I'd love to receive it!

Lunar Mandala

The lunar mandala is a tool for self-discovery, aiming to deepen your connection with natural cycles and your own body to expand your self-awareness practice. Besides being an act of self-love, it is also a commitment to yourself. It can be used as a calendar to observe patterns, connections, and potentials of your menstrual cycle, fertile window, energetic and emotional states, and other characteristics you deem important.

By making daily entries in the mandala, you gain a perception that cycles are part of life's trajectory, as everything that is alive is cyclical. It is experienced in various ways, whether through the menstrual cycle, lunar cycle, season, or life stages.

Menstrual cycle: runs from the 1st day of menstruation until the day before the next menstruation. It can last 25, 28, or 30 days, depending on the person.

Menstrual cycle

  • Day 1 of your cycle: The first day you menstruate, when you bleed.

Menstrual phase: the bleeding phase, which can last 3, 5, or more days, depending on the individual.

In each phase of the cycle, the body experiences different energy, power, and challenges. Although the theme of cyclicity is related to the uterus and the phases of the menstrual cycle, being cyclical is something that is part of the essence of life. Our body is always the starting point, so we should ask ourselves:

“How do I feel today? Who am I today? Right now?

From this point, we can observe the external cyclicity that influences us so much. For those who do not have an active menstrual cycle, for whatever reason, they can guide themselves by the moon.

  • "What is the moon phase today?"

And so, we start to get information for the individual map. From that moment on, we begin to create the internal cyclicity map. Thus, over time, as you look at your map, you will realize, for example, that during a certain period in the full moon phases you felt more irritable, and you will observe what happened during that period of your life, what triggered that irritability.

    Examples of the Moon:
    Waxing Moon = pre-ovulation
    Full Moon = ovulation
    Waning Moon = pre-menstrual
    New Moon = menstruation

  • Suggestions for creating your map:

    Day of the month,
    Day of the cycle,
    Cycle phase,
Moon phase in the sky (on that specific day),
    Emotional, corporal, and behavioural perceptions.

To avoid it becoming confusing and tiring, each person should prioritise what is most important to create the map according to their routine.

At the end of the cycle, you will have a mandala full of colours, information, and symbols.

    • How often and at what stage did the discomfort appear?
    • At what stage was creativity most active? And focus?
    • How was the quality of my sleep?

Why buy in bulk?

When buying in bulk, we can purchase the quantities we actually need and use our own containers. In addition to reducing food waste, this also means we are saving new resources for the planet by using our own containers/bags.

It is estimated that 1.8 million tons of food are wasted every year, which is, on average, more than 180 kg per Portuguese person. Each Portuguese person produces 511 kg of waste per year, and 40% of that is food scraps. We are literally throwing our money in the trash!

Furthermore, packaging waste is another critical issue. In 2021, Portugal produced approximately 1.5 million tons of packaging waste, according to Sociedade Ponto Verde (SPV). By buying in bulk and bringing your own reusable containers, you can help significantly reduce waste production, contributing to a more sustainable country.

Taboo Topic: Menstruation

  • the Problem?

Unfortunately, the topics of menstruation and period poverty are still rarely discussed. In Portugal, there are very few studies on the subject. But let's look at this:

In a 2020 study (in Portugal) on the perception of 445 women regarding menstruation and menstrual hygiene, presented at the University of Minho, almost 17% stated they had difficulties purchasing products such as sanitary pads, tampons, or menstrual cups.

As we can see from these frightening numbers, menstruating, besides being a taboo, seems to be a luxury! Menstrual products should be easily accessible, and talking about menstruation needs to be normalised. We need to educate our young people in this regard and let them know that when someone menstruates, it is no reason for shame! Never! Menstruation is life! And it's not just a woman's issue!

On average, each person who menstruates generates about 17,000 disposable menstrual products during their fertile period – in 2015, these numbers represented 4% of the waste produced in Portugal. In addition to the "plastic" problem in the world, which takes over 400 years to decompose, these disposable products contain nanoparticles, chlorine, dioxins, pesticides, herbicides, among other chemicals that can cause cancer, hormonal imbalances, and even infertility, and which the body of those who use disposable menstrual products absorbs every month.

  • the Solution!

The Giras ao Sol brand launched its first model of menstrual underwear on April 25th (a date chosen to show that menstruation is also revolutionary). They look like "normal" underwear, but they have an incorporated absorbent core, which ensures comfort for up to 12 hours (depending on your flow). They are produced with certified, high-quality vegan materials in Coimbra.

Doing some quick calculations: 1 tampon or 1 disposable pad can cost between €0.05 and €0.37 (research carried out on 25/02/2024). So the average per product would be €0.24, but I'll simplify and calculate at €0.20 per disposable product. Considering that protection should be changed every 4 hours at most, in 24 hours we would need 6 units, which equals €1.20 per day of menstruation (€0.20 x 6).

People menstruate between 3 to 7 days; let's aim for 5 days on average, which equals €6 (€1.20 x 5 days). In a year, on average, we spend €78 (€6 x 13 months). On average, there are 40 years of menstruation, which equates to €3,120 (40 years x €78).

So, this means that by opting for reusable menstrual underwear (in this case, we're talking about the Giras ao Sol brand) for a person with a "normal" flow who menstruates for 5 days, each pair of underwear costs €25. If you buy 6 units, we're talking about €150. This would mean spending only €150 on menstrual protection for 6-8 years, instead of €468 (€78/year x 6 years).

The Uterus likes Warmth and Comfort!

Below are two must-try recipes for period days - try them and let me know how it went!

  • Foot Soak for Menstruation

Did you know that the uterus is connected to the feet? And that it's an organ that loves warmth? During your next period, try doing foot soaks on the first and second days, or even during a longer luteal phase, to encourage the arrival of menstruation. Relaxing and warming your feet (yes, even in summer) promotes relaxation of the pelvic floor tissues and uterus, leading to healthy menstruation.

(Tip: if you can, avoid cold baths during your menstrual phase)

    Ready for the recipe?

In a basin (large enough for your feet), place 2 tablespoons of Himalayan salt or whatever you have at home, 1/2 tablespoon of our infusion. Add boiling water and let the salt dissolve. If you have it at home, add 2 drops of geranium essential oil.

Let it cool down a little until you can comfortably keep your feet in the basin (without burning yourself) and enjoy this magic for 10 to 15 minutes. For a complete ritual, before everything else, light our "wild spirit" candle. Relax! You deserve it!

  • Seed Cycling

Seed Cycling is an Ayurvedic practice that supports the hormonal cycle of menstruating individuals. If menstruation is no longer present due to a hysterectomy but the cycle still exists, and even in the case of menopause, it is possible to create a relationship of cyclicity with the body, both through the phases of the moon and through practices like seed cycling. In addition to supporting hormonal regulation and potentially reducing PMS effects, it also adds more fiber to our diet 😊

    Ready for the recipe?

1st phase: Days 1 to 14 of the menstrual cycle: flax seeds + pumpkin seeds

2nd phase: Days 15 to 28 (or until menstruation): sesame seeds + sunflower seeds

Pulverize the seeds for each phase, in equal amounts (they can be mixed, as long as it's the same quantity) and store them in a jar in the refrigerator to prevent them from going rancid. Daily, add 2 tablespoons of these powdered seeds to yogurt, soup, salads, porridge, etc., according to preference.

  • Menstrual cramps, or dysmenorrhea, are caused by the contraction of the uterus to expel the endometrium, the tissue lining the inside of the uterus. This process can cause pain and discomfort, but heat can be a great ally in relieving these symptoms.

When applied to the abdominal area, heat helps relax uterine muscles and improves blood flow, which can reduce the intensity of cramps. This is why many people turn to our therapeutic pillow during their menstrual cycle. Additionally, heat has a calming effect, helping to alleviate stress and promote an overall sense of well-being. For a complete ritual, first light our "wild spirit" candle. Relax! You deserve it!

Shine and Take Care of Yourself with and in LOVE,
    Marta
