Frequently Asked Questions
What's the flavour profile of this Sierra coffee, and is it very strong?
Sierra has an intense, but not aggressive, profile. You immediately sense a rich, enveloping body, with notes of spice, a sweet touch of caramel, and a smooth cocoa finish. The presence of Robusta gives it more strength and depth, but the Arabica balances everything with smoothness and complexity. If you like a distinctive coffee, but without excessive bitterness, you'll feel that this one hits the spot. It's not a light coffee, but it's not so heavy as to be tiring either—it's balanced and easy to enjoy every day.
Since it's an organic coffee, does it really make a difference in taste and quality?
Yes, it does make a difference — and it's more noticeable than many expect. Organic coffee is grown without synthetic chemicals, which allows the bean to develop its natural profile in a cleaner, more authentic way. This is reflected in the flavour, which tends to be purer and more defined. Furthermore, there's a matter of trust: you know you're consuming a product that aligns more with sustainable practices and has less environmental impact. For those who value quality and origin, this choice makes sense both for the palate and for the conscience.
Does this coffee have a lot of caffeine because it contains Robusta?
It has more caffeine than a 100% Arabica coffee, but that's not necessarily a problem — it depends on what you're looking for. The presence of 43% Robusta gives it more energy and intensity, ideal for starting your day or for that mid-afternoon boost. At the same time, it's not an excessively stimulating coffee to the point of causing discomfort for most people. If you are sensitive to caffeine, you can adjust the quantity or avoid consuming it late in the day. Otherwise, you will benefit from a fuller-bodied coffee with a greater ability to awaken.
Where do the beans come from and how does that influence the final flavor?
The beans come from India, Colombia, and Peru — three origins with very distinct characteristics. India brings more spiced and deep notes, Colombia adds sweetness and fruity nuances, and Peru contributes a delicate hint of cocoa at the finish. This combination is no accident — it was designed to create a balanced coffee with multiple layers of flavour that you discover as you taste it. This is what makes this blend so interesting: it's not flat or predictable; it has identity and evolution in every cup.
