Our Honey comes from a company based in Lousã, right in the heart of Portugal. Apimel finds in the Central Region of the country a wide geographical area that provides extensive areas of wild flowering in a privileged ecological situation. From the coast to the interior, the region unfolds into a landscape of low urban density and practically non-existent agricultural or industrial activity. The generalized state of purity and ecological diversity of the region make it an exceptional territory for beekeeping. Varieties: Heather Honey - Mountain honey, characteristic of the highlands of the central mountain range, it is the most original of honeys, with a strong, slightly acidic taste and a dense consistency. It has a very dark, amber tone, distinctive aroma and flavor, with a slight astringency, typical of heather nectar. A genuine high-quality product, with its origin in heather monofloration, this honey is harvested in the most remote and high-altitude areas of the central mountain range. Highly appreciated from a gourmet perspective as well as for its nutritional value. | 280gr Wildflower Honey - Wild honey, harvested in the Beiras Region. It is obtained through experienced transhumance practices, benefiting from different flowerings, including 4 varieties of Heather, Rosemary, Eucalyptus, Gorse, Mallow, Thyme, Rosemary and Borage. Very smooth and delicate, its taste is preferred by the majority of consumers. It is one of our most awarded honeys. | 280gr Rosemary Honey - Wild product originating from a predominant flowering of rosemary. Harvested in pollution-free areas from the interior region of Beira Baixa to the lowlands of Beira Interior. With a light tone, it has a very sweet aroma and taste due to the high concentration of fructose, which makes it recommended in sugar-free (sucrose) diets as a natural sweetener. | 280gr Eucalyptus Honey - This honey corresponds to the first harvest of each year. It comes from Beira Litoral and originates from the nectar of eucalyptus flowers. With a very pleasant taste, it has gained great popularity among consumers. More aromatic than other honeys, it has a light brown tone and a more open aroma and palate. | 280gr Orange Blossom Honey - A very special honey, with aroma and flavor very different from other varieties, it is often distinguished as the most delicious of honeys. Originating from the nectar of orange blossoms, it has a light tone and smooth texture.
