Description
Orders for slow-fermented bread (sourdough) must be placed by Monday at 6 pm. It will always be shipped the following Wednesday (fresh) and you will receive it the following Thursday. WE ONLY SHIP on Wednesdays. Produced in Mealhada, Coimbra, our Gluten-Free Rice and Cassava Bread arrives at our grocery store still warm. It is made with naturally gluten-free flours and keeps for many days.
We suggest slicing the bread and freezing it. As needed, take out the slices and let them thaw for a few hours. It's wonderful!
We only ship orders with bread on Wednesdays. You should receive it on the next business day.
Slow-fermented bread (or sourdough, levain, and other names) offers benefits for our body, such as better digestion and better nutrient absorption. But why? Because in the manufacturing process, yeasts are used that act slowly, which primarily provides better digestion.
The fermentation time is the secret to the flavour that slow-fermented bread acquires, making it much more flavourful, very soft, lasts longer, and has a lower glycemic index compared to bread made quickly with chemical yeast.

How we prepare your orders
For us, all orders are special. We prepare everything with a lot of love. But always in reused boxes/materials.
After receiving the order, we separate the items (and check if any are out of stock). If everything is okay, we proceed to packaging (all with materials left by our customers or from orders we receive from suppliers). If any item is out of stock, we will contact you with various options.
Shipments are made by CTT Express and you usually receive either a message or an email indicating the estimated delivery time. Then it's time to open your order, confirm that everything arrived well, and enjoy the items.
